Nerdist is reporting that Swamp Thing was cancelled because of a clerical error concerning the tax rebates from the state of North Carolina. WarnerMedia was expecting 40 million but because of a clerical error they only got 14 million. This was also why production shut down so quickly near the end. One of the writers cited a couple of StarNews articles on Twitter today as he explained the situation to the rest of the world.
